Buckeye to Close by Order of Ohio Attorney General

The Ohio Attorney General has notified Buckeye Charity Poker that it is his opinion that its operation violates current Ohio law.  As a result, Buckeye will cease operations at the conclusion of business on Saturday, September 7, 2013.  The First Anniversary Double the Pot Tourney will be held as promised and all poker tournaments and cash poker and blackjack will continue during this last week of operation. Buckeye would like to thank all of its loyal players and, of course, the fantastic charity festival hosts that have made this year of operation truly inspiring. Please stop into Buckeye during this final week to support our charities and to withdraw any funds you may have on account.

In the coming weeks, it is possible that the Ohio Legislature will be considering certain updates to Ohio’s Charitable Gaming Laws which would allow Buckeye to re-open and reinstate its mission to assist the many charities that bring so much benefit to our local communities.  Buckeye encourages everyone to contact their State Representatives and State Senators in order that they may be aware of the benefits Buckeye has brought. Please send an email to info@buckeyecharitypoker.com in order that we contact you in the future with information concerning our progress.  We hope to re-open in the near future and remember -
